From 24th August, foreign nationals who hold a valid residence permit for study can enter China without applying for a visa. Other foreign students shall apply for X visa. Please read Instructions on Chinese Visa Application and prepare all the necessary documents. The requirements are as follows:

1.New admissions should offer the original and photocopy of the "Admission Notice" issued by concerned Universities or Colleges in China.

2. Enrolled students with an expired residence permit for study shall offer a certification document by the school (original or photocopy, with their own seal) about their approval of the student’s returning.

3. Considering that the express service in Afghanistan has not been fully restored, if the original documents cannot be provided due to delivery problems, scanned copies or photocopies are accepted.

4. Short-term non-degree study (X2) visa applications are not accepted until further notice.

5. Applicants who have made an online appointment should go to the embassy at the appointment time. Applicants without an online appointment should make an appointment in advance by calling the visa consultation hotline of the embassy at 020-2105147, and go to the embassy at the arranged time. The embassy will not accept applicants without an appointment.
