Ambassador Deng Xijun Pays a Farewell Call on the Second Vice-President of Afghanistan

On September 28th, 2015, H.E. Mr. Deng Xijun, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Afghanistan, paid a farewell call on H.E. Mr. Mohammad Sarwar Danish, Second Vice-President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. Both sides exchanged views on China-Afghanistan relations and other issues.

Ambassador Deng expressed his gratitude for the support and assistance rendered by Danish and the Afghan government during his tenure. He said that Afghan peaceful reconstruction had achieved remarkable progress in recent years, while China-Afghanistan Strategic and Cooperative Partnership also witnessed further development with the joint efforts of both sides. As Afghanistan’s good friend, neighbor and partner, China highly valued the relationship between the two countries, and would support Afghan reconstruction process and promote substantial bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, security and cultural areas together with Afghanistan, so as to bring more benefits to the peoples of both countries.

Danish appreciated Ambassador Deng’s active contribution to the development of the Afghanistan-China relations, and said that counting China as a sincere friend and reliable partner, Afghanistan always regarded developing relations with China as a priority of Afghan foreign policy and expected China’s greater role in Afghan reconstruction process, to help Afghanistan realize peace, stability and development at an early date.

Ambassador Deng presented a Pashto-Chinese Dictionary to Danish at the end of the meeting.
