H.E. Mr. Yao Jing, New Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan Presented the Letter of Credence to the Afghan President

On October 22nd, 2015, H.E. Mr. Yao Jing, new Ambassador of the People's Republic of China presented the Letter of Credence to H.E. Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, and have a cordial talk with President Ghani.

Ambassador Yao conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes from H.E. Mr. Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China to President Ghani. He said that it is honored for him to serve as the thirteenth Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan, and emphasized that the Chinese Government would continue to play a constructive role in promoting the Afghan peaceful reconciliation process, so as to help Afghanistan achieve an early realization of peace and stability.

President Ghani welcomed Ambassador Yao as the new Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan, and extended his sincere greetings to President Xi Jinping and other Chinese leaders. He spoke highly of the bilateral relationship between the two countries, and said it is the priority in Afghan foreign policy to develop friendly relationship with China. The Afghan side would further deepen pragmatic cooperation in all fields with China and push forward the Afghan-China Strategic and Cooperative Partnership.

Ambassador Yao arrived in Kabul, capital of Afghanistan on October 20th, 2015, and presented the copy of Credential to Mr. Wali Monawar, Director General of Protocol Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan on October 22nd, 2015.
